PCI representatives met with the US Department of States Office delegates at the US Embassy Guest House

On October 8th 2024, PCI representatives met with the US Department of States Office delegates at the US Embassy Guest House consisting of the Deputy Director(LH), Foreign Affairs Officer(RH), Political Affairs Advisor(LH), and The Intelligent Unit officer address the need to Monitor & Combat Trafficking in person.

 

It was an engaging session where The PCI Director, Mr Osita Osemene emphasized on strengthening and collaboration of non-state actors such as National Against Trafficking, Abuse and Labour (NACTAL) and West African Coalition Against Trafficking in Persons and Smuggling of Migrants (WACTIPSOM).


Moreover, He also commended the enhancement of service delivery of State actors who are government partners such as National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking In Persons (NAPTIP), National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI), Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) amongst others as he opined for a robust and holistic trafficking in person and smuggling of migrants intervention in the Country.
